The course is open to any child aged between 9 and 13 years. The ability to sight read is not essential but pupils should have experience of singing in a choir or be learning to play an instrument.
Children can come in a group with their teacher or as an individual. Plenty of staff will be on hand to supervise those who attend without an adult. There is no cost for accompanying teachers.
Each day starts with registration and warm ups at 9.30am and ends at 3.15pm. The course ends with a concert on Friday at 2.00pm for family and friends.
Trafford Music Service, The Claremont Centre, Claremont Road, Sale, M33 7EF
A new venue for this year, The Claremont Centre is located in the heart of Sale and is home to the Trafford Music Service.
There is parking on site, or you can walk from the Sale Metrolink which is just 5 minutes away.
The course is being generously supported by John Lewis Partnership. The cost per child is £80 for the week which includes all activities, music and refreshments. Children should bring a packed lunch and bottled water each day and should dress comfortably for lots of moving around. The dress code for the final concert is black trousers, black shoes and a plain coloured top.
We will do everything we can to ensure the safety of children and staff, and we will have Covid procedures and social distancing measures in place throughout the week, as required at the time.
