As our organisation continues to grow, so too does the need for an expanded marketing team with dedicated areas of expertise. To help us communicate more effectively, strengthen our brand and better support our members and audiences, we've introduced a new marketing team structure.
Previously, Katy managed all aspects of marketing, including our website, digital communications and wider promotional activity. While this approach has served us well, the increasing scope of our work has created an opportunity to build a more collaborative team with clearly defined areas of responsibility.
Katy now becomes our Digital and Communications Lead, taking primary responsibility for our website, newsletters, email communications and digital platforms.
NEW TEAM MEMBERS!
Joining the team is Stuart Overington, our Content and Publicity Lead. Stuart will be known to members as a tutor. With a background in conducting and youth music education, Stuart brings a passion for storytelling and audience engagement. He will lead our social media activity, create content from events, coordinate publicity and advertising, and work with partners to increase the visibility of our work.
We're also delighted to welcome Kirsty Innes as our Brand and Community Lead. With a background in purpose-driven marketing, Kirsty is passionate about helping organisations build trust, strengthen their brand and create meaningful connections with their communities. She will lead the development of our brand and long-term marketing strategy, while also focusing on membership development, fundraising initiatives and the promotion of our publications. Kirsty is also a keen singer, and currently completing the Glasgow Essentials Conducting Short (4-Day) Course.
Although each role has clear ownership, collaboration remains at the heart of the team. Together, Katy, Stuart, Kirsty and our Marketing Assistant Adam Hilton will work closely to develop shared marketing plans, ensuring our digital presence, content and brand all work together to tell our story in a consistent and meaningful way. All other members of the Management and volunteer teams remain unchanged.
This new structure gives us the capacity to be more strategic, more creative and more responsive as we continue to grow. We're excited about what lies ahead and look forward to sharing more stories, opportunities and achievements with you in the months to come.
