We’re delighted to be launching a new Conducting and Vocal Leadership training project – in partnership with organisations across the country – which is specifically designed to encourage young ethnic minority musicians to consider a career in choral conducting or vocal leadership. 10th July - National Youth Choirs of Great Britain and Redbridge Music Service at John Savage Centre, Fencepiece Road, Hainault, Ilford, IG6 2NB 27th July - City of Birmingham Symphony Orchestra at CBSO Centre, Berkley Street, B1 2LF 1st August - Hallé St Peter's , 40 Blossom Street, Ancoats, Manchester, M4 6BF Please note, these training days are being run for young ethnic minority musicians at partner organisations and are not open to the general public (non-ethnic minority musicians working with our partner organisations are very welcome to observe and sing at the events). Sing for Pleasure’s popular course for talented young singers from the West Midlands is back. Led by experienced teachers and choir leaders, this five day, non-residential summer school aims to develop choral and musicianship skills through a wide range of repertoire, fun singing games and musical activities. The course is open to any child aged between 9 and 13 years.

SfP Summer School is back in 2021! Ranging from the popular singers and choral courses, through Foundation and Intermediate choral conducting levels to the demands of the Advanced conducting course, there is something for every choral enthusiast. The sociable atmosphere of the week generates an extremely supportive learning environment, which in turn leads to a high level of achievement and enjoyment with many participants returning again and again.
