We were deeply saddened to hear of the death of our much loved and highly respected friend Simon, after a long illness.

Simon was an inspiration to all who knew him as an amazing teacher, singer, choral director, friend and family man. He  enjoyed a long and rich association with Sing for Pleasure, first attending summer and weekend courses with his friends from the Manchester Youth Choir and then tutoring on many of our choral courses.

Simon was gifted with a unique and superb countertenor voice, with which he transcended skillfully across his eclectic musical tastes; literally from Baroque to Barbershop.

He was a truly wonderful and talented person with a generous kind hearted spirit and quirky sense of humour as seen below!
Simon will be sadly missed by all who knew him and we send our sincere and heartfelt condolences to his wife Claire and son Alexander.
Funeral details: Tuesday 13 February, 1pm, St Wilfrid’s Church, Northendon, Manchester
